These reports must balance regulatory requirements with in-depth financial analysis to ensure clients receive the most appropriate investment recommendations.
Root Paraplanning provides expert suitability report writing, helping IFAs streamline their investment suitability assessments while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing client understanding.

Types of Complex Cases We Support
We regularly prepare suitability reports for cases that go beyond a standard single-wrapper review, including portfolios involving multiple layered tax wrappers such as ISAs, GIAs, and offshore bonds. Each case is approached on its own facts, with the underlying research and rationale set out clearly enough for both the adviser and the end client to follow.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you ensure reports comply with FCA requirements and Consumer Duty standards?
All suitability reports and research outputs are written in clear, plain English, aligned with the FCA’s Consumer Duty outcomes, specifically Consumer Understanding and Price & Value. We tailor each report to your firm’s brand guidelines, investment philosophy and any individual compliance requirements, ensuring full alignment with your advice process.
What compliance and practice-level support do you provide?
In addition to individual client cases, we provide strategic compliance services charged at a flat hourly rate. This includes independent file and case reviews, whether pre-submission or post-advice; Consumer Duty audits and frameworks, reviewing advice templates, client communications and value assessment documentation; and advice proposition design, including support with Centralised Investment Propositions (CIPs) and Centralised Retirement Propositions (CRPs).
What happens if a report requires amendments after submission?
Your first report amendment is completely free of charge, provided the underlying advice remains unchanged. If you require structural alterations or a change to the core advice direction, subsequent amendments are billed at our standard hourly rate.
